Circle of Security Parenting (COS-P)

Circle of Security-Parenting™(COS-P) provides a visual map of attachment and is based off decades of attachment theory. COS-P™ principles include the following,

· Attachment problems in infancy and early childhood increases the probability of psychopathology later in life.

· Secure attachment relationships with caregivers are a protective factor for children, setting the foundation for social and emotional competency and promoting effective functioning the stress response systems.

· The quality of the attachment can change.

Participants will learn to meet the need and address the behaviors as well as discover how to balance sensitive responding with taking charge.
