Hope for the Journey 2022 - A TBRI Conference

We hope that you can join us for this Trust-Based Relational Intervention Conference hosted by Genesis Family Enrichment Center!

When:  Saturday, May 28th at 9:30 am - 3:30 pm 

Where: Howard Bishop Middle School 1901 NE 9th Street, Gainesville Florida 32609

This will be a refresher for some, and an introduction to TBRI for others.  

Pizza will be served for lunch or you can enjoy lunch on your own. 

The cost of this workshop is $5.00 (includes your workbook ! )

Hope for the Journey TBRI Objectives:

• To help understand the specific needs of the whole child; the principles of Connecting, Empowering, Correcting; and practical steps that can help children thrive. To provide an in-depth look at the impact of trauma on children, including effects on brain development, neurochemistry, sensory processing, attachment behaviors, and the ability to self-regulate.

• To encourage parents to consider their own histories, attachment styles, and what role these influences may play in their child’s process of developing secure attachment.

• To present an overview of how sensory processing and neurochemistry are affected in children who have experienced early trauma.

• To offer insights, strategies, and tools that are helpful for parents/caregivers in achieving effective behavioral change while promoting lasting connection and healing with their children.
