About the event

Trust-Based Parenting is a therapeutic model that trains caregivers to provide effective support and treatment for children who have experienced hard places such as difficult pregnancy, difficult birth, early/multiple hospitalizations, abuse, neglect, divorce, separation, and other chaotic and unpredictable experiences. It is an evidence-based, attachment centered curriculum designed to equip parents and caregivers with the following: Connection skills to address attachment challenges, Empowerment skills to address biological, and sensory needs that appear as willful behaviors and lastly, Correction principles that teach proactive and responsive skills uniquely designed to address dysregulation. When caregivers are impacted by the same traumatic experiences as the child(ren), it is imperative that they get therapeutic education that compliments the treatment work with the child(ren).

This course is a 5-week course that meets on Fridays and Saturdays from February 12, 2021, 6:30 pm -8:30 pm to March 6th, 2021 9:00 am - 12:30 pm.
