Research has shown that trauma can disrupt cognitive, relational, emotional and behavioral processes and development. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, adverse childhood experiences can include: violence, abuse, or neglect, witnessing violence in the home or community, having a family member attempt or die by suicide, substance use or mental health problems in the home, instability due to parental separation or household members being in jail or prison. Covid-19 has added an extra layer of trauma and stress to most households.

Trust-Based Relational Intervention will provide participants with knowledge, skills and insight regarding connection through attachment theory; discover how to regulate the environmental and physiological world with a child and learn correction using proactive and responsive strategies.
